Bear Hunts
We grow them big here in the country! Not only do we have the largest bear population possibly in the entire country, the state record sow has been harvested here three different times in recent years. Our BIG boar bears are taken here consistently in the 350 to 500+ lb. range. So if you’re looking for BIG, you may just find it here.
Hound Hunting for Bear
Up before the rooster crows loading the hounds, for what promises to be a good day chasing the elusive Maine Black Bear through the woods. Your guide drops the dogs on a track and the music begins from the pack of Treeing Walkers. Suddenly a call comes over the radio, “they got em caught“, and you hurry to get to the hounds. What follows next is the best sound to a hunters ears, “he’s treed“, rings out. What an exciting way to hunt.
My Favorite hunt for sure.
This is a demanding hunt which requires you to be in reasonably good shape. We hunt with Treeing Walkers, which have proven themselves time and time again.

Wounded Game Tracking
It’s 7:30 PM and your client has just wounded a nice bear, there is a blood trail, but it’s too hard to follow in that terrain and you lose the trail. Have you or your client ever wished that you had a tracking dog to better your chances in finding that nice bear that was wounded? If so, give us a call and we can help you find that trophy bear for your client. Our dogs and I will track your bear for you on a leash, mark any blood we find, and if the conditions are right and your bear is dead or mortally wounded, we will find your bear. |
